The Rojenski monastery was found in Medieval time and big part of it is preserved until today. The monastery is well-developed during the 16th century when the church was decorated with iconographic pictures. Since the end of the 18th century it owns an icon of the Holy Mother, which is considered to be miraculous. Every year on the 7th of September piligrims from come and pray to the icon and sometimes spent the night in the monastery, believing that brings well-being. Near the monastery is the grave of a famous Bulgarian revolutionary – Yane Sandanski. The smallest Bulgarian town Melnik is located in the South-Western part of the country. It is in the foothills of the Pirin mountain. You will have the opportunity to visit the historical museum and get an idea of the life in the town and the manners of the local people. Another interesting object is the 18th century house of one of the representatives of the famous Greek family Kordopulos.
