Itinerary - 11 Days: Rila, Pirin and Rhodopi mountains tour

 
 Day 01: Sofia - Plovdiv
Arrival at the airport Sofia. Meet and greet by your personal guide. Transfer to Plovdiv and hotel accommodation. City tour including The Old town, the Clock Tower, Djoumaya Mosque, Imaret Mosque, the Synagogue, Archaeological Museum, Thracian tomb, the fortress walls of Philippopolis, the Roman baths, the Philippopolis amphitheatre and forum. Overnight in Plovdiv.
 
Day 02: Plovdiv – Backovo Monastery – Momtchilovtsi
After breakfast we will visit the Backovo Monastery. The tour continues to village Momtchilovtsi which is a popular destination for country tourism.We will visit the The historical museum in the village, The Momchilova fortress and the National Observatory of Rozhen. Overnight in Momtchilovtsi.
 
Day 03: Pamporovo - Shiroka Luka - Trigrad
After breakfast we will have a short drive to the village of Shiroka Luka - a heritage park with around 90 original period houses, old bridges and a folk music school. But our first stop will be in Pamporovo and Snezhanka Peak. Enjoy the beautiful panorama view from the Snezhanka Tower. In the afternoon, we will continue to Trigrad for overnight.
 
Day 04: Trigrad
After breakfast, we will visit the Devil’s Throat Cave, housing the highest underground waterfall on the Balkans and Yagodina Cave, one of the biggest and most beautiful caves in Bulgaria. Overnight in Trigrad.
 
Day 05: Trigrad
After breakfast, we will hike along the Devin eco-trail. An adventurous eco-path, weaving on wooden bridges over Devinska River. Stop for a short break before our way back to the village. Overnight.
 
Day 06: Trigrad – Zhrebevo
Breakfast. We will have circular trek to Zhrebevo village. Legend says that the village was named after a stallion which shielded it from trouble and strife. Along the route, you observe the entry to the Trigrad Gorge and enjoy the wonderful panorama to surrounding parts. Overnight in Trigrad.
 
Day 07: Trigrad
After breakfast we will have free day. You can devote half or a full day in the thermal SPAs of Devin. Or you can simply relax by the swimming pools of the Aqua Park Persenk. Transportation back to Trigrad for our last overnight in the village.
 
Day 08: Melnik
After breakfast we will visit the Rozhen Monastery and continue with Melnik. Visit the museum, the Kordopoulov House, Slav's Fortress  and the Melnik Pyramids, one of the most interesting natural attractions in Bulgaria. Later we will have wine testing, because Melnik famed for its wine. Overnight.
 
Day 09: Petrich – Rila Monastery – Sofia
Breakfast.Transfer to Petrich and visit the Rupite area with mineral springs, the house and church of the famous oracle Vanga and the Bulgaria's only algae-growing laboratory. Continue with a visit to Rila Monastery - the biggest monastery on the Balkan Peninsula. In the afternoon we will head back to Sofia.
 
Day 10: Sofia
Breakfast. After that we will have city tour, including Alexander Nevski Cathedral, the National Theatre, the Archaeological Museum, St.George Church, Boyana Church, Roman ruins and Medieval settlements. Rest of the day is free. Overnight in Sofia.
 
Day 11: Sofia
Breakfast. Transfer to Sofia airport. End of our services.
