Itinerary - Bulgarian Nature Tour

Day 1: Sofia    
Arrival in Sofia. Meet and greet your guide. Transfer to the hotel and check in. Sightseeing tour of Sofia - the capital of Bulgaria. Visit of Alexander Nevsky cathedral and Boyana church (UNESCO). Free time for shopping and wandering in center of Sofia. Osofiavernight in Sofia.
 
Day 2: Sofia – Samokov – Borovec - Govedartsi
After breakfast, we’ll drive to Samokov for city tour and head to Borovets, which is the first Bulgarian mountain resort. There you can enjoy the fresh mountain air and explore the former royal palace “Tsarska Bistritsa”. Then, we depart to Govedartsi, where we stay for the night.
 
Day 3: Two options for the day:
One Day Hike to Musala Peak or One Day Hike to the Seven Rila Lakes Overnight in Govedarsti.
 
Day 4: Govedartsi - Rila Monastery - Rozhen - Melnik
After breakfast, we’ll take a trip to discover the most important monastery in Bulgaria. The Rila Monasery is the biggest monastery in Bulgaria, included in the list of UNESCO. Visit of the church of the monastery and an authentic monk room (cell). Lunch in the area of the monastery. Then we continue to Rozhen observatory. Overnight in Melnik.
 
Day 5: Melnik - Sand Pyramids - Rozhen Monastery – Melnik - Leshten & Kovachevitsa
After breakfast, early in the morning, we ‘ll make tour of the smallest city in Bulgaria – Melnik, famous with its wine. After that, we‘ll start our hike through the Sand Pyramids, reaching the monastery of Rozhen. In the afternoon we’ll continue to Leshten and Kovachevitsa, authentic traditional villages. Overnight in Leshten or Kovachevitsa.
 
Day 6: Leshten & Kovachevitsa - Dobrinishte - Velingrad - Tsigov Chark Lake
After breakfast, we‘ll catch the authentic narrow-gauge line – the only operational, such line in Bulgaria – which transfer us to Avramovo. Later, we’ll arrive in the city of Velingrad, which is popular tourist destination because of its hot springs. In the afternoon, we head to one of the most impressive lakes in the country – Tsigov Chark lake. Overnight in Tsigov Chark area.
 
Day 7: Tsigov Chark – Batak – Plovdiv - Koprivshtitsa
Breakfast. Our first stop today is to visit the symbolic town of Batak, where we’ll learn the dramatic history of this city. From there, we continue to Plovdiv for the tour of the Old Town and the emblematic Kapana district. In the afternoon, we head to the historical town of Koprivshtitsa, where we‘ll spend the night.
 
Day 8: Koprivshtitsa - Sofia
After breakfast, we’ll have exploring tour of Koprivshtitsa, which still preserves the atmosphere of the 19th century Revival Period. Return to Sofia for overnight.
 
Day 9: Sofia departure
Departure after breakfast. Transfer to the airport. End of our services.
