Itinerary - Macedonian Rhapsody Tour
Day 1: Skopje - Tetovo - Ohrid
Arrival at Skopje airport. Meet and greet by your tour guide. Transfer to your hotel in Ohrid and check-in. First we’ll make a short stop in Tetovo for a visit of the Colourful Mosque. Overnight in Ohrid.
Day 2: Ohrid
After breakfast, we are starting our city tour through the Old part of Ohrid, including the Covered market, the Antique theatre, the Monastery Holy Mother of God, Peribleptos, the Fortress of Tsar Samuil, the Monastery of St. Clement in Plaoshnik, the Church of St.John the Theologian in Kaneo, the Ohrid National museum Robevci Family House, the Cathedral Church St. Sofia and the Paper museum. Overnight in Ohrid.
Day 3: Saint Naum - Ohrid
Today we’ll travel to the Monastery of St. Naum. After our return in Ohrid, we will have a walk in the Old Bazaar. Overnight in Ohrid.
Day 4: Galichica National Park - Bitola
Breakfast. In the morning we continue the tour with a trip to Bitola via the National Park Galichica. On our way we will visit the Museum Bay of Bones and pile dwelling in Gradishte. In Bitola, we will visit the ancient Macedonian city Heraclea Lyncestis and the Institute and Museum of Bitola, allong with the Memorial Room dedicated to Kemal Atatürk. Overnight in Bitola.
Day 5: Prilep - Stobi - Skopje
Today we will visit the French Military Cemetery from the First World War and continue our driving to Prilep, where we’ll visit the monastery of Archangel Michael in Prilep, stroll to the city centre. After that, we will drive to Tikvesh, where we will visit a winery for wine tasting. Our next visit is Stobi, an ancient city and archeological site. The last stop for this day is Skopje, where we will make a short orientational tour through the city. Overnight in Skopje.
Day 6: Skopje
After breakfast, we will have a city tour through the Old city, including the Old Bazaar, Daut Pasha hamam, Chifte haman, Bezisten covered market, Suli Han, Fortress Kale, Mustafa Pasha mosque, Church of St. Saviour. Afterwards, we will continue our tour with visits of the famous Stone bridge, the Central square, The Archeological Museum, the Old train station, the Museum and a Memorial House of Mother Theresa. Overnight in Skopje.
Day 7: Gorno Nerezi - Matka
We will drive to the village of Gorno Nerezi to visit the Monastery of St Panteleimon and continue to the Matka region. We will visit the Lake Matka by boat and get to the cave Vrelo. Return in Skopje for overnight.
Day 8: Skopje
Departure after breakfast. Transfer to the airport. End of our services.
