Itinerary - The Rose Festival 2021

 
03. 07 - Day 1: Sofia
After you arrival you will have the opportunity to walk around with an English-speaking guide in the capital of Bulgaria - Sofia. Sofia was an important cultural, political and administrative center in the past and it was one of the favorite cities of the emperor Constantine the Great. You will see some interesting objects like the National Theatre, the National Assembly square, Aleksandur Nevski cathedral, the National Archaeological museum, St. George rotunda etc. Overnight in Sofia.
 
04.06. - Day 2: Plovdiv – Kazanluk 
The second day of the tour includes visit of Plovdiv - the second biggest city in Bulgaria that also was an important center in Ancient times and during the period of the Bulgarian revival. The old part of the city and the Ancient theatre will be visited. In the afternoon the trip continues to Kazanluk - the capital of the roses, where you will attend to the opening of the Rose festival. Overnight in Stara Zagora city (30 km from Kazanluk).
 
05.06. Day 3: Rose Festival and Sightseeing of Kazanluk 
Breakfest. Going to the Rose festival, where folklore dances, roses picking and the Miss Rose contest will take place. In the region of Kazanluk there are many interesting Thracian tombs. You will have the chance to visit the most significant of them - The Kazanluk tomb, which is under the protection of UNESCO. Also the Russian church "The Nativity" in Shipka will be visited. The church is attractive for tourists with its glorious outlook and its 17 bells. Overnight in Stara Zagora city (30 km from Kazanluk).
 
06.06. Day 4: Koprivshtica 
Koprivshtica is a picturesque Bulgarian town that had main role during the period of the Bulgarian Revival. In this town were born many famous revolutionaries and it is not by chance that Koprivshtica was the place, where the April uprising began. Nowadays the spirit of that time could still be felt and some interesting houses from the 19th century, now museums, will be visited. Departure to Sofia and overnight.
 
07.06. Day 5. Sofia 
Free time. Transfer to airport. End of our services.
