Itinerary - The secrets of the Balkans: Croatia and Bosnia & Herzegovina

 

Day 1: Zagreb
Arrival at Zagreb Airport. Meet and greet by your local guide. Transfer to the hotel, accommodation and orientation walk. Free evening. Overnight in Zagreb.
 
Day 2: Zagreb

After breakfast, we’ll have a Zagreb city tour including take a funicular, which connect the Gornji and Donji grad. At Upper Town (Gornji Grad), we’ll visit the St Mark’s Church with its striking roof and sculptures in the south portal. Drop in at the St. Étienne Cathedral, the stone gate and Kaptol Hill as well. Free time for shopping. Overnight in Zagreb.
 
Day 3: Zagreb – Plitvice lakes – Bihac
After breakfast, we will depart to the stunning Plitvice National Park. Walk along the string of sixteen lakes connected with beautiful waterfalls + boat ride. Later we will cross the border with Bosnia and Herzegovina for a visit of Bihac. Overnight in Bihac.
 
Day 4: Bihac – Jajce - Travnik
After breakfast, we will continue to Jajce for a visit of UNESCO protected waterfalls. After that head to Travnik. Upon arrival, visit of the Old Town, Museum (birth house of the famous nobel prize winner Ivo Andrić) and Sulejmanija Mosque (Colourfull Mosque). Overnight in Travnik.
 
Day 5: Travnik - Sarajevo
Breakfast. Today we will proceed to Sarajevo. Tour to the Latin bridge, place where the Austro Hungarian Archduke was assassinated, what triggered the 1st World War, Vrelo Bosne – spring of river Bosnia, Tunnel museum, the old town Bascarsija, Brusa bezistan – covered market place, Gazi Husref Bey Mosque and Madrass. Overnight in Sarajevo.
 
Day 6: Sarajevo - Mostar
Breakfast. After that we will continue to Mostar, famous with its Stari Most. Visit Karadjoz bey mosque, Muslibegovic house – walk through the old town and old bridge, listed as UNESCO heritage site and Neretva river.  Free time for shopping. Overnight in Mostar.
 
Day 7: Mostar - Dubrovnik
After breakfast, we will proceed to Dubrovnik. City tour with local guide, visiting the Old Town, the Town Museum, the Bishop’s Palace with its treasury collection and the Town Hall. Free time. Overnight in Dubrovnik.

 
Day 8: Dubrovnik departure
Free time after breakfast. Transfer to the airport. End of our services.
