Itinerary - 6 Balkan Capitals Tour

Day 1: Bucharest
Arrival at Bucharest Airport. Meet and greet by your local guide. Transfer to the hotel, accommodation and orientation walk. Free evening. Overnight in Bucharest.

 
Day 2: Bucharest
Breakfast. Today we will have tour of Romanian Capital, including Free Press Square, Arch of Triumph, Victory Square and Avenue, Royal Palace, Revolution Square, a visit to the Village Museum, one of the most impressive open-air museums in Europe and the Palace of Parliament. Next, you will have free time in the Old Town. Overnight in Bucharest.

Day 3: Bucharest – Ruse – Sofia
After breakfast, we will head to Bulgaria. First stop for today will be nearby Ruse - The Rock-hewn Churches of Ivanovo. Our next stop en route is Pleven, where we will visit Pleven Epopee 1877, that depicts the events of the Russian-Turkish War of 1877–78. After that, we will continue to Bulgarian Capital, Sofia. Tour includes visit of the historical centre: Alexander Nevski Cathedral, the National Theatre, the Archaeological Museum, St.George Church, Roman ruins and Medieval settlements. Overnight in Sofia.
 
Day 4: Sofia – Belgrade
Breakfast. In the morning we’ll continue to Belgrade. City tour of the white city, located at the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers. You will visit Kalemegdan Fortress, Church of Saint Sava, which is one of the largest Orthodox churches in Europe, the geographical centre of the city - Knez Mihailova, Belgrade’s Bohemian Quarter – Skadarlija, Museum of Yugoslavia and the House of Flowers. Overnight in Belgrade.

Day 5: Belgrade – Sarajevo
After breakfast we will head to Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Tour to the Latin bridge, the place where the Austro Hungarian Archduke was assassinated, what triggered the 1st World War, Tunnel museum, the old town Bascarsija, Brusa bezistan – covered market place, Gazi Husref Bey Mosque and Madrassa. Rest of the day is free. Overnight in Sarajevo.

Day 6: Sarajevo – Zagreb
After breakfast, we’ll have a Zagreb city tour including take a funicular, which connect the Gornji and Donji grad. At Upper Town (Gornji Grad), we’ll visit the St Mark’s Church with its striking roof and sculptures in the south portal. Drop in at the St. Étienne Cathedral, the stone gate and Kaptol Hill as well. Free time for shopping. Overnight in Zagreb.

Day 7: Zagreb – Bled – Ljubljana
After breakfast, we will visit the beautiful Lake Bled, situated in the heart of the Alps and Bled Castle, which is located on a cliff overlooking the lake. Overnight in Ljubljana.

Day 8: Ljubljana
After breakfast, we will have walk around the historical city center and visit the most interesting sites such as - Prešeren Square and Tromostovje (Triple Bridge), Town Square with its baroque fountain and Town Hall. Also we’ll visit the Ljubljana Castle and enjoy of the beautiful view. Overnight in Ljubljana.

Day 9: Ljubljana departure
Free time after breakfast. Transfer to the airport. End of our services.
