The village of Jeravna was founded long ago by the Thracians. The highest point of its development was reached in the 17th century, when the village was a center for crafts, agriculture and trade. The house of one of the most rich and active men of Jeravna – Rusi Chorbadji is now a museum, which you will have the opportunity to visit. In the region there are many gristmills. Another important center with historical meaning is Kotel. The location of the town in an area, crossed by important roads helped its development. The town has a Museum of the Bulgarian revival where information about some of the most significant persons from the period could be found. Also the temple “St. Peter and Paul” is available for tourists. The interior was made by famous Bulgarian iconographers.
