Itinerary - Treasures of Romania Tour

Day 1: Bucharest
Arrival at the Bucharest Airport. Meet and greet by our guide. Private transfer to the hotel, accommodation and overnight.
 
Day 2: Bucharest
Breakfast. City tour of the Romanian Capital, including Free Press Square, Arch of Triumph, Victory Square and Avenue, Royal Palace, Revolution Square, a visit to the Village Museum, one of the most impressive open-air museums in Europe and the Palace of Parliament. Next, you will have free time in the Old Town. Overnight in Bucharest.
 
Day 3: Bucovina Monasteries
Breakfast. Today we visit the monastery of Voronet, founded by the prince Stephen the Great and characterized by a beautiful blue color. Next, continue with a visit to the Moldovita monastery, founded in the 16th century and the Sucevita monastery, founded by the Movila brothers in the 17th century. Overnight in Gura Humorului.
 
Day 4: Cluj Napoca
After breakfast, we will depart towards Cluj Napoca. Highlights of the tour: the birth house of Matthias Corvinus, Hungary’s most renowned 15th-century king, Union Square, St. Michael’s Church, and the “Street of the Intellectuals”. After that we will have walk past the remains of the city’s defensive walls and the newer part of the old city, Avram Iancu Square. Overnight in Cluj Napoca.
 
Day 5: Turda Salt Mines - Alba Carolina Fortress
After breakfast we will visit the the fortress city, Alba Iulia. Hightlights of the city tour: Baroque and Romanesque churches, roman citadel and an 18th century fortress, Alba Carolina. Later we will continue to the Transylvanian salt mine in Turda. Head back in Cluj Napoca for overnight.
 
Day 6: Targu Mures - Sighisoara
After breakfast, we will head to Târgu MureÈ™, a city recognized for its ethnic and cultural diversity. Free time to explore the city and continue to Sighisoara. City tour to the Old Town of Sighisoara, including the Clock Tower, Church on the Hill and Dracula`s house where Vlad Tepes was born in 1431. Overnight in Sighisoara.
 
Day 7: Sighisoara – Sibiu
Breakfast. After that depart for Sibiu, the former residence of the governor of Transylvania. City tour including the Great and Lesser Square, The Bruckenthal Museum, Tower of the Clock or Council Tower, Brukenthal museum, Huet Square and Lutheran Cathedral. Overnight in Sibiu.
 
Day 8: Brasov – Bran – Sinaia – Brasov
Breakfast. Continue to Brașov, where we will have city tour including the Council Square, The Black Church, Bran Castle and other sights around. Afterwards, we will visit Sinaia, where were situated the former royal residence. Continue with a visit Orthodox Monastery in Sinaia and Peleș Castle. Overnight back in Brasov.
 
Day 9: Bear Sanctuary – Bucharest
After breakfast, we will head to Zarnesti for a visit to the Liberty Bear Sanctuary. Home for over 100 brown bears saved from captivity and cruel conditions. After the walk we will continue to Bucharest for our last overnight.
 
Day 10: Bucharest
Departure after breakfast. Free time. Transfer to the airport. End of our services.
