Itinerary - 13-Days Tour: Wines and wonders of the Romania and Bulgaria  

Day 1: Sofia  
Arrival to Sofia Airport. Meet and greet by your local guide. Transfer to the hotel, accommodation and orientation walk. Free evening. Overnight in Sofia.

Day 2: Sofia
After breakfast, we will have city tour including the historical centre: Alexander Nevski Cathedral, the National Theatre, the Archaeological Museum, St.George Church, Roman ruins and Medieval settlements. Afternoon walk to Boyana Church and free time for shopping. Overnight in Sofia.

Day 3: Sofia – Vratsa – Borovitsa
After breakfast, we will proceed to the village of Borovitsa. But our first stop for today is the town of Vratsa, where we will have city tour. Continue to Borovitza. Hotel accommodation and overnight.

Day 4: Borovitsa – Belogradchik – Borovitsa         
After breakfast, we will visit the Belogradchik rocks and after that еnjoy a glass or two of local wine and indulge in local delicacies. After lunch, tasting at Borovitza winery. Free evening. Overnight.

Day 5: Borovitsa – Vidin      
Today, the tour continues to Vidin. After breakfast, visit the Kaleto fortress - a rock-sewn fortress in the Belogradchik mountains. Lunch at Belogradchik. Next is a wine tasting at Magura winery and a visit to the Magura cave. Overnight in Vidin.

Day 6: Vidin  
After breakfast, head out on a walking tour of the Baba Vida fortress followed by a unique joint tasting of regional wines inside the medieval fortress. The rest of the day is free to explore Vidin and take a stroll along the magnificent Danube River.

Day 7: Vidin – Russe            
After breakfast, we will continue along the Danube river, reaching to Ruse. City tour including Rousse Historical Museum, Sexaginta Prista fortress, Rock-hewn Churches of Ivanovo and "Urban lifestyle of Rousse" museum. Overnight in Russe.

Day 8: Bucharest       
Breakfast. Continue to Bucharest. City tour, including Free Press Square, Arch of Triumph, Victory Square and Avenue, Royal Palace, Revolution Square, a visit to the Village Museum, one of the most impressive open-air museums in Europe and the Palace of Parliament. Next, you will have free time in the Old Town. Overnight.

Day 9: Bucharest      
Breakfast. Leisure day in Bucharest. In the afternoon proceed to Dealu Mare, where we will have wine tasting. Overnight in Bran.

Day 10: Bran – Brasov         
After breakfast, we will drive to Bran Castle, famous as Dracula’s castle. After that we will have the chance to try some of the best wines and cheese in the region. In the afternoon, we will continue to Brasov, one of the most important medieval handcraft centers in Romania. Free evening. Overnight in Brasov.

Day 11: Brasov         
Breakfast. Today we’ll have a city tour of Brasov and the Old town. Highlights of the tour are the Black Church, the Council Square, the Hirsher House, the many old Saxon houses, and the White and Black Towers. Rest of the day is free. Overnight in Brasov.

Day 12: Brasov - Rasnov -  Bucharest         
Breakfast. After that we will continue to Rasnov where we will try some of the most famous drinks in Romania – palinka. You will have the opportunity to visit the distillery, where the owner will show you the basics of palinka distilling. After that, head back to Bucharest for overnight.

Day 13: Bucharest departure
Breakfast. Free time till the transfer to the airport. End of our services.
