The city of Belogradchik has a Historical and Natural scientific museums. The Museum of history is placed in the Panova house, which is a good example of the architecture of the Western Bulgarian revival. The fortress of Belogradchik is an object of constant interest. It was found by the Romans in the time of Antiquity and on its foundations later another fortress was built. It played an important role during the Medieval ages and the centuries of the Ottoman reign. The famous Belogradchik rocks are interesting sight for every visitor. Figures of rock with height of about 200 m. reveal the beauty and the essence of nature. The rock figures cover an area of about 30 km and consist of three groups: Falkovska, Central group and Zbegovska.
The one-day trip also includes a visitation of one of the most beautiful caves in Bulgaria – Magurata. It is 2500m. long and there are paintings of hunting scenes, dating from the Paleolithic and the Neolithic age. Near the cave is situated the Rabish lake, which is a deserving part of the nice atmosphere.
