By choosing this trip you will visit the fortress Baba Vida, which is located on the Danube. It is the main historical object of the city, therefore it is a desirable place for visitors. This is the only Bulgarian medieval fortress that is considered to be preserved in its complete form until nowadays. It was built upon the foundations of a Roman observing point. During the Middle ages it was a residence of the local ruler.  The fortress has a museum, where you can receive detailed information about the historical monument.
You will also have the opportunity to see the Ledenika cave, which is part of the Balkans. It is 300 m. long and consists of ten halls. It is considered that only people with pure hearts can enter the biggest one – the so-called Concert hall. In the cave there is a lake, called the Lake of Wishes and it is believed that the one, who touches the water, will have a wish fulfilled. So if you are interested in seeing historical and natural monuments or if you want to try to make one of your wishes reality, this one-day trip is the right choice for you.
